IGD’s UK forecasts to 2021 shows that online continues to be the fastest-growing grocery channel, both in percentage and cash terms. In the next 5 years, the UK online grocery channel is set to grow by almost 70% to £17.6 billion.
Disruption is a key driver of this growth, with new entrants such as AmazonFresh certain to help grow sales via the online channel: IGD’s latest shopper research reveals that 40% of Amazon grocery shoppers say they would consider buying fresh food on Amazon, up from 33% in 2014.
Don’t miss our interactive breakout session on Day 2 of the Summit where Profitero’s Director of Strategy and Insights EMEA Andrew Pearl will be presenting insights and practical examples into how Amazon’s ecosystem works, and how suppliers should engage to win with Amazon.
Focusing on how FMCG brands can meet the needs of Amazon shoppers, Andrew will explain how optimized product images, search placement, product reviews and much more will help to drive your sales.
We’ll also have a complimentary report available which ranks the best-selling brands on Amazon UK across Grocery, Baby, Beauty, Chocolate, Pet Care, Beer and Spirits. Speak to Andrew or one of the Profitero team to pick up your copy after the session.
We look forward to meeting you at the Online & Digital Summit – in the meantime, how well do you know the online and digital channel? Take the IGD quiz to find out.
